The Woodbury and Cottage Grove Joint City Council Workshop meeting is taking place at Woodbury Central Park in the Woodlands Conference Room located at 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury MN. Members of the public may attend the meeting in person. Questions regarding the meeting will be taken between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 651-714-3524 or at council@woodburymn.gov. --- title: MINUTES author: Oehlke date: D:20260515095313-05'00' --- ## Minutes ## Woodbury City Council Workshop Wednesday, April 29, 2026 Pursuant to the due call and notice thereof, a workshop meeting was held at Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place, on the 29 th day of April 2026. Workshop meeting was a joint meeting conducted with elected officials and staff from the City of Cottage Grove. This was an in-person only workshop meeting. Present: Mayor Anne Burt, Councilmembers: Kim Wilson, Jennifer Santini, Donna Stafford, and Steve Morris. City Staff Present: Jeffrey Dahl, City Administrator; Angela Gorall, Deputy City Administrator; Jim Westerman, Assistant Public Works Director; Janelle Schmitz, Community Development Director; Jason Posel, Public Safety Director/Police Chief; and additional staff in-person. Meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. ## Workshop Discussion Items ## Welcome/New Faces, Trivia, Awarding of Trivia Trophy Introductions were completed and a trivia competition between City Councils with facilitation by the Woodbury City Administrator was completed. A meal was then provided and the trivia trophy award was presented to the winning City of Cottage Grove. ## Partnership Updates A series of update PowerPoints were presented from listed partners. Council’s provided questions and comments throughout with no direction provided on future actions or discussions. ## • South Washington County Schools Update (Julie Nielsen, Superintendent) • True Lens Media Annual Report (Ann Schweisguth, Executive Director and Lonnie Garland) ## • HERO Cetner Annual Report (Dan Anselment, Manager) ## • South Washington Watershed District Update (John Loomis, Administrator) ## City Updates A series of update PowerPoints were presented from respective City staff.
