Today I'm inside Central Park where after more than 20 years of use, Lookout Ridge is getting an upgrade as part of the Central Park renovation project. The updated indoor playground will feature more than 75 unique play elements. It is slated to open along with two new birthday party rooms this fall. The city council will review the proposed 2026 city budget at a workshop meeting scheduled September 10th at the Public Safety Building. The meeting, which is open to the public, will start at 400 p.m. and continue until the evening until all department budgets have been evaluated. Ojiway Park will be the place to be August 22nd through 24th for Woodbury days. Enjoy carnival rides, games, food, a business fair, live music, bingo, fireworks, and more. The city of Woodbury will have a booth at the business fair where you can visit city officials, including new city administrator Jeff Dah and public safety personnel. Be sure to swing by and say hi. Applications are now being accepted for openings on Woodbury Advisory Commissions. Residents appointed to these groups serve on a volunteer basis. New appointees will begin their terms in January. Apply online today. Residents interested in recycling old mattresses and box springsings may schedule convenient curbside pickup through Second Chance Recycling. Once the request is scheduled, participants will receive an email with detailed instructions. And that's the scoop. See you around, Woodbury.
