[0:01] Ebikes are a fun, exciting way to get
[0:03] outdoors, get to work, and enjoy the
[0:06] Woodbury Trails and Park System.
[0:10] We are seeing more ebikes on our trails
[0:12] and streets, which is why it's important
[0:13] to know the rules. In Minnesota, you
[0:16] have to be 15 years old to ride an
[0:18] ebike, and we encourage everyone to wear
[0:20] a helmet.
[0:23] Only pedal assist ebikes are allowed on
[0:26] park trails, but keep your speed under
[0:27] control at all times and be respectful
[0:29] of other users.
[0:30] On your left,
[0:31] pass on their left and let others know
[0:33] you're approaching with a verbal cue or
[0:35] a ring of a bell. Making eye contact
[0:37] before passing is also helpful. On city
[0:40] streets, ride on the right side of the
[0:42] road, obey traffic signs, and signal
[0:44] your turns and stops to others. Licensed
[0:47] e-otos, motorized bicycles, and electric
[0:49] scooters are not allowed on city trails
[0:52] and sidewalks. In many cases, you can
[0:54] ride them on the street and know the
[0:56] laws before you go out. Ride safe,
[0:58] control your speed, respect other trail
[1:00] users so we can all enjoy the 180 m of
[1:04] park trails that Woodbury has to offer.
[1:07] Ride safe and smart. Know the rules and
[1:10] share the trails.
