[0:05] I get a
[0:06] question quite often as to
when to pick the vegetables.
[0:10] Let's take an eggplant.
[0:11] An eggplant can get very big
but the seeds get bigger.
[0:15] You want to optimize
so that it's the right color,
[0:18] but also that the seeds
haven't gotten so big
[0:21] that they're going to interfere
with the quality of the plant.
[0:24] It's the same with the zucchini
as zucchini can get this big
[0:27] or get that big.
[0:29] This big is optimal
because the seeds are small.
[0:32] You can eat the whole plant.
[0:33] So most people bigger is better.
[0:36] But a lot of times what you want
is, is optimize that.
[0:40] Small to medium
size is much better.
[0:43] If you have any questions,
there's a website
[0:45] the University of Minnesota
ask a master gardener.
