[0:00] Hi Woodbury, I'm Ashley and here's the scoop. [0:05] Residents looking for an opportunity [0:07] to give back to the community should apply [0:09] to be on a city advisory commission. [0:11] Applications are available August [0:13] 30th and accepted until October 16th. [0:16] The City of Woodbury received an award for being a steps four [0:20] and five city in the Minnesota Green Step program. [0:23] Woodbury is one of the 148 participating cities [0:26] and tribal nations in the program. [0:28] Actions taken within the program focus on cost savings, energy [0:32] use reduction, [0:34] resource conservation, climate change, [0:37] and the encouragement of civic innovation. [0:39] Woodbury Safe Community Camera Program provides residents [0:42] and businesses [0:43] the opportunity to assist public safety personnel [0:47] by voluntarily sharing the location [0:49] of their external surveillance cameras. [0:51] Through this program, [0:52] public safety may reach out to owners [0:54] in the event of a crime or incident, [0:57] request owners review their camera footage, [0:59] and possibly request a copy of the footage. [1:02] Participation in the program is voluntary [1:05] and those who have registered can withdraw at any time. [1:09] The City Council will [1:10] review the proposed 2025 city budget at a workshop meeting [1:14] scheduled for September 11th at the Public Safety Building. [1:18] The meeting, which is open to the public, will start at 4 p.m. [1:21] The public also has the option [1:23] of participating in the meeting online.
