[0:01] [Music] [0:06] fireworks are meant to be used in [0:08] private open safe locations away from [0:12] structures or flammable materials [0:15] fireworks are not to be used in parks or [0:19] public areas such as beaches some of the [0:22] things to consider as far as safety goes [0:25] is first of all having an adult nearby [0:27] to supervise the activities of the [0:29] fireworks second to make sure that you [0:31] have a bucket of water nearby or a fire [0:33] extinguisher to put out those fireworks [0:36] or to contain ones that do not work to [0:39] properly use fireworks you're going to [0:41] want to make sure that first of all you [0:43] have the the wick exposed and we'd [0:46] recommend having a lighter that uh [0:48] extends out something where you can [0:50] light it from a distance and then move [0:52] away quickly you would move the firework [0:54] to a level surface [0:57] [Music] [1:07] [Music] [1:09] if you have a firework that didn't [1:11] ignite and is a dud uh it is not safe [1:15] you don't want to try to relight that [1:17] firework what you want to do is take [1:19] that firework and put it in a bucket of [1:22] water keep it in that water for about 20 [1:25] minutes to make sure that that firework [1:27] is extinguished and is no longer a [1:30] safety hazard remember not everyone [1:32] enjoys the loud noises produced by [1:35] fireworks please remember respect goes [1:37] hand in hand when using fireworks this [1:39] season [1:41] [Music]
