[0:01] The city is launching a rebate program to help residents [0:03] replace dead or diseased trees on private property. [0:07] The purpose of the program [0:08] is to help combat Woodbury’s tree canopy [0:10] loss caused by the emerald ash borer disease [0:12] by replacing trees, ash, [0:13] or any other species that have been removed in the past. [0:16] Residents must complete the online application [0:18] and prove the removal of a tree on their property occurred. [0:22] Accepted applicants [0:23] will be able to purchase a tree for every tree [0:25] removed, and send [0:25] in the receipt of purchase for a rebate up to $199 [0:29] before taxes per tree.
