Hey, Woodbury. Today I'm on top of the roof at the Fleet Services Building where the city's newest solar panels are providing sustainable energy and savings. Two major rooftop solar arrays have been installed, one at the Fleet Services Building and another at Central Park. These arrays will cut long-term operating costs and expand the city's use of clean energy. The fleet services system is designed to offset 120% of the building's annual electricity use and includes a battery energy storage system. Speaking of Central Park, thank you to everyone who came out for the grand reopening. It was great to see people back enjoying the refresh space. The proposed 2026 city budget includes a 9.8% overall levy increase, which means about a $117 increase per year in city taxes for the median value home. That number could still change as city council continues its discussions. Council will review the budget and approve the tax impacts at the December 10th city council meeting.
