The Woodbury City Council announced several upcoming community events during its March meeting, including a Gold Line transit celebration this month and two major public gatherings in April. The announcements highlight the city's efforts to engage residents and showcase new infrastructure.

Woodbury residents will have a chance to celebrate the opening of the Gold Line transit system on March 22nd at the new Woodbury Park and Ride ramp, located near Woodland Drive and Guider Drive. The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature music, entertainment, games, activities, informational booths, and food trucks.

Looking ahead to April, the city has scheduled two major events. The annual State of the City event takes place April 3rd at Eagle Valley Golf Course, where Mayor Burt and city department heads will update residents on key projects and initiatives. The event is free and open to all, with a public question-and-answer session planned.

Two days later, on April 5th, the Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Expo at Woodbury High School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The family-friendly event will feature a city booth, city vehicles on display, and a Destination Woodbury booth.

In other business, the council reminded residents that Washington County will mail property value notices during the last week of March. Property owners who want to appeal their assessed market value or property classification can attend open book meetings in April. The city advised residents to contact their area appraiser first if they have questions or concerns about their assessments.
