Woodbury announces fall events, candidate forums coming soon
The Woodbury City Council highlighted upcoming community celebrations and recreation opportunities during its September meeting, including a diversity celebration, Big Truck Day, and candidate forums ahead of the November election.
Woodbury residents have several opportunities to engage with their community this fall. The city is hosting a free Diversity Celebration on Sunday, September 15th, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ojibway Park. The event, organized in partnership with community groups, will feature food trucks and music while celebrating the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of Woodbury residents.
The following weekend, families can attend the 13th Annual Big Truck Day on Saturday, September 28th, at the M Health Fairview Sports Center. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon and includes a special "sensory hour" from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. designed for children sensitive to loud noises—during this time, emergency vehicles will operate without lights, sirens, or horns. The Teddy Bear Band will perform, and the event is offered through a partnership between city departments and the Washington County Library.
