Woodbury Mayor addressed the community's continued expansion during a recent city council meeting, emphasizing how the city's growth to more than 80,000 residents has enhanced services and attracted new businesses.

The mayor highlighted upcoming entertainment venues, including TopGolf opening this fall as a regional attraction expected to draw visitors from across the Twin Cities area. Future recreational businesses include Slick City, an indoor slide park coming to the Northeast Business Park, Main Event, and two approved indoor pickleball facilities.

Woodbury's growth has also expanded healthcare services, with the recently opened HealthPartners Specialty Clinic joining other top-tier healthcare providers in the community. The city now operates the M Health Fairview Sports Center and plans to reopen a remodeled and enhanced Central Park.

Dining options continue expanding with more than 130 restaurants now operating in Woodbury. New establishments opening soon include Feast Buffet and Banquet, Hangry Joe's Chicken, Paris Baguette, and Saw My Village, adding to recently opened venues like Hope Breakfast Bar, Southern Social, Northern Tap House, and Liliana.

The mayor noted that residential and commercial growth has strengthened the city's tax base, reducing dependence on residential property taxes while maintaining over 180 miles of walking and biking trails. As Minnesota's seventh largest city, Woodbury continues attracting businesses entering the Minnesota market or expanding into the east metro area.
