The city of Woodbury released new safety guidelines for electric bicycle users as e-bike usage increases on city trails and streets.
Under Minnesota law, riders must be at least 15 years old to operate an e-bike, and the city encourages all users to wear helmets. Only pedal-assist e-bikes are permitted on park trails, with riders required to maintain controlled speeds and show respect for other trail users.

Licensed e-motos, motorized bicycles, and electric scooters are prohibited on city trails and sidewalks, though they may be permitted on streets under certain conditions.
