to the evergreen neighborhood

[0:24] and so that's when we started

coming to this playground.

[0:26] The new equipment looks great.

[0:27] I love the shade features

that they've added,

[0:29] and extra picnic tables.

[0:30] There's more swings,

so that helps,

[0:32] because

usually there is a little bit

[0:33] of a competition over

who gets the swings.

[0:35] This is such a big part

of our lives

[0:37] with the young kids

to get out and,

[0:39] you know, meet

other families nearby

[0:40] and everybody congregates

at the playground.

[0:43] So investing into this,

I think, is so important.

in Woodbury

[0:57] to refresh

and enhance existing play spaces

[1:00] to better serve the community.

[1:01] These updates

focus on modernizing equipment

[1:04] and creating a safer

and more engaging environment

[1:06] for families and children.

[1:10] We're at

Woodlane Hills Park in Woodbury

[1:12] and we’re installing a

playground, kind of a

little pocket

[1:15] playground in the neighborhood

here.

[1:17] There's going to be a, a two bay

swing here with tot seats

[1:20] and then also belt

seats as well.

[1:21] And this is going to be, over

here

[1:23] you've got a sitting spinner.

[1:25] The kids will sit down

and spin around on it.

[1:27] There's going to be a slide.

[1:28] A double-wide slide

is where the gentleman is.

[1:30] And then in between

connecting the two decks,

[1:32] you'll have a tunnel slide,

[1:34] which as you can kind of see

it's been assembled

[1:35] there and just kind of needs

to be put in place.

[1:43] The new playgrounds

have prioritized safety

[1:46] with updated,

compliant play structures

[1:48] that are safer and have better

surfacing materials.

[1:52] Accessibility has been improved

with inclusive equipment,

[1:55] ensuring

children of all abilities

[1:56] can play alongside each other.

[1:58] I also like

[1:59] how they have

some more interactive features

[2:00] that are throughout

the playground,

[2:01] especially at lower heights.

[2:03] I can see there's like

a cute carrot and

[2:05] and butterfly that

they can twist and turn around.

[2:07] So I think they're going to have

some fun

[2:08] with imaginative

play with that as well.

[2:10] One great thing

about these projects,

[2:13] whether they be a playground or

a park implementation project,

[2:17] is that it really provides

an opportunity for the residents

[2:20] of Woodbury of all backgrounds

and ability levels,

[2:24] to really enjoy

those park spaces

[2:27] within the beautiful

landscape of Woodbury.

[2:30] We absolutely love

going on playground tours

[2:31] around Woodbury,

and it's always on the kids

[2:33] summer bucket list

[2:34] of exploring a new playground

is definitely

[2:37] one of the things that they want

[2:37] to do every single summer,

[2:39] and usually

it ends up being three

[2:40] or more new playgrounds

that we get to check out.

[2:42] Yeah, there's so many nearby

that we just pick one and go.
