The City of Woodbury has completed playground replacement projects at Evergreen East and Woodlane Hills parks as part of an initiative to modernize play spaces throughout the community.

Josh Kinney, Parks Planner for the City of Woodbury, said the updates focus on modernizing equipment and creating safer, more engaging environments for families and children. The projects prioritize safety with updated, compliant play structures and improved surfacing materials.

The new playgrounds feature enhanced accessibility with inclusive equipment designed to ensure children of all abilities can play together. Interactive elements have been added at various heights, including features that encourage imaginative play.

At Woodlane Hills Park, the new installation includes a two-bay swing set with both tot seats and belt seats, a sitting spinner, and slides including a double-wide slide and tunnel slide connecting two decks. Additional amenities such as shade features and extra picnic tables have been added to support family gatherings.

The playground improvements are part of Woodbury's broader effort to refresh and enhance existing play spaces to better serve the community. Residents have expressed appreciation for the investments, noting the importance of quality playground facilities for families with young children.
