Woodbury Updates Central Park Playground, Announces Budget Workshop
The City of Woodbury is upgrading its Central Park playground after more than 20 years of use, according to a recent municipal update.
Lookout Ridge, the indoor playground at Central Park, will feature more than 75 unique play elements as part of the Central Park renovation project. The updated facility is scheduled to open this fall along with two new birthday party rooms.
The Woodbury City Council will review the proposed 2026 city budget at a workshop meeting scheduled for Sept. 10 at the Public Safety Building. The meeting, which is open to the public, will start at 4 p.m. and continue until all department budgets have been evaluated.
Woodbury Days will take place Aug. 22-24 at Ojibway Park, featuring carnival rides, games, food, a business fair, live music, bingo and fireworks. The City of Woodbury will have a booth at the business fair where residents can visit city officials, including new City Administrator Jeff Dahl and public safety personnel.
The city is accepting applications for openings on Woodbury advisory commissions, with new appointees beginning their volunteer terms in January. Additionally, residents can schedule convenient curbside pickup for old mattresses and box springs through Second Chance Recycling.
