The City of Woodbury outlined several upcoming initiatives and services in its February newsletter, including new recreation programs and seasonal employment opportunities.

Woodbury Parks and Recreation will offer expanded programming this summer, featuring new programs for older adults and seniors, a Youth Dungeons and Dragons club, and a special event called Kidz Carnival Kraze. Details will be available in the summer recreation brochure, which will be mailed to residents at the end of February.

The city will host job fairs on March 4 and March 15 at Valley Creek Mall to recruit for seasonal positions lasting three to six months. Summer jobs are available in the city's maintenance, golf course and recreation programs.

Construction of more than 17 miles of pipeline for a new water treatment plant will resume March 21. Residents should expect roadway and lane closures, travel delays and temporary trail closures along pipeline routes during construction.

Woodbury Public Safety will host free educational programs at the Public Safety Education Center, with no registration required. The city also announced that reservations are being accepted for outdoor park shelters and buildings, including spaces at Ojibway Park, Eagle Valley Golf Course and M Health Fairview Sports Center.
