The Woodbury City Council has appointed Jeff Dahl as the city's next administrator, effective July 28, according to a recent city update.

Dahl holds a master's degree in political science with an urban studies and planning emphasis and has previously worked in Osseo, Chaska and Wayzata. He will replace Clint Gridley, who recently retired from the position.

The city also highlighted recent improvements at Hasenbank Park, including restoration of native plants and enhanced stormwater drainage systems. Officials encouraged residents to visit the park to view the upgrades and educational art installations.

Woodbury is preparing for several upcoming community events, including Night to Unite on August 5 and Woodbury Days later in the summer. The city is seeking volunteers for Woodbury Days, with more than 170 positions available. During Night to Unite, public safety staff will collect gift cards for local families in need, with donations accepted at the event or at the Public Safety Building.

The city reminded residents that lawn watering restrictions remain in effect, allowing watering only before noon and after 5 p.m. on assigned days. Officials also encouraged residents to support local businesses during ongoing summer road construction projects.
