The City of Woodbury will implement altered traffic patterns for this year's Fourth of July Hometown Celebration due to ongoing construction, according to a recent city update.

The traffic plan for the July 4th event will be published on the city's website, officials said. The celebration will feature live music, bounce houses and food trucks, with Woodbury City Council members available to meet residents near the food trucks before the fireworks display.

The city is currently offering educational programming through a Juneteenth Trail walk available through June 22. Educational signs have been installed at City Hall, Colby Lake Park and Ojibway Park as part of the initiative.

Woodbury has launched an alternative financing program to assist residents with private ash tree removal costs. The program allows residents to cover removal expenses through a special assessment added to their property tax bills, though officials emphasized it is not a rebate or discount program.

The city's 2024 Water Quality Report is now available online, with paper copies available through Public Works for residents without internet access. A new parks and trails map is also available free at City Hall, Health Fairview Sports Center and Eagle Valley Golf Course, with an interactive online version that receives frequent updates.
