[0:00] Healthy food fuels healthy minds. Here
[0:04] in our school district, all in-person
[0:06] students, preK through grade 12, will
[0:08] receive breakfast and lunch on school
[0:10] days at no cost.
[0:12] And this applies to all students in our
[0:15] district. This includes a healthy meal
[0:17] for breakfast and a complete meal for
[0:20] lunch, including a fruit and vegetable.
[0:22] We always strive to serve our students
[0:24] the healthiest foods with appropriate
[0:26] portion sizes. If a student wants
[0:29] something extra, like another entree or
[0:31] a bottle of water, they'll need to pay
[0:33] for those items. We encourage all
[0:36] families who have applied for free and
[0:38] reduced price meals to continue to
[0:40] apply.
[0:41] Submitting an application helps benefit
[0:44] families with much more than just meals.
[0:52] Your approved application also provides
[0:54] the school with crucial funds that
[0:56] support the learning environment and
[0:58] improve the overall educational
[1:00] experience.
[1:02] Income thresholds are higher than some
[1:04] assistance programs. So, you may be
[1:06] surprised to find out you qualify. To
[1:09] apply, complete the application for
[1:11] educational benefits using this website
[1:13] address or QR code. You can also
[1:15] complete the application for educational
[1:17] benefits that is available at the
[1:19] district office or your child's school.
[1:22] A new application must be submitted each
[1:25] year. All families are strongly
[1:27] encouraged to complete an application
[1:29] for their household. For more
[1:31] information, please visit our district
[1:33] website.
