have no idea. And as I told Derek yesterday, I received Greg. [Music] Good morning everyone. It is Tuesday, June 24th. We'll call the Wright County Board of Commissioners to order. We'll begin with the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Since the board last met, it has been a very uh tumultuous time in this uh political world and in our nation and across the world holistically. Um I want to start off and I want to take a moment to honor and pay our respects to Speaker Hortman and her husband Mark who lost their lives in a terrible act of violence. Also, I want to extend our grace and healing to Senator Hoffman and his wife Yevette who were also injured in this act of terror. Please join me in a moment of silence to honor these representatives of the people and their families who lost their lives and were injured doing the work that they loved representing us. Please join me in a moment. Thank you members. I don't know if any members have any words they'd like to say. I know we have known some of those individuals quite well over the years. Chairman B. Um, uh, Senator Hoffman, um, had just probably 12 to 14 homes in Dayton that, uh, represented that he represented. And he represented him so well. Um, and he really was uh a champion for Wright County um and all of our counties because it was because of his um tireless work that we didn't get that uh cost shift to come down to the counties that would have been detrimental to all the counties. Um he serves HHS well um at the state level and we so appreciate everything he's done. um any time that that we would go down there, he would say we had to come to his office and he would drop everything and he came to every legislative uh meeting that we had here in the county uh with a smile and a laugh and yes, we just hope good things. We hope he heals well and uh um we certainly are proud to have him as a senator. Thank you, Commissioner Holland. So, Any other words otherwise thank you for that time. Uh now moving on to uh another note here. I appreciate the great attendance here. Uh once again we will do our uh honoring of our years of service for the many employees here in our second quarter of the year.
