[0:01] hello everyone this is Brad with r [0:03] County Parks and Recreation I wanted to [0:05] take a minute to walk you through our [0:08] new reservation system so in January of [0:11] this year we launched a new site went [0:13] away from our old one so I want to just [0:15] give you a few tips tricks and let you [0:17] see this as we get ready to prepare for [0:19] campground reservations opening up on [0:21] March 4th so with that again March 4th [0:24] 8: a.m. we'll open up our campground [0:26] reservations so we'll have 22 sites at [0:28] Schroeder that will be available that [0:30] day for reservation for the season and [0:33] then all of Bertram and Collinwood um [0:35] Schroeder half the campground reason [0:38] being is for the construction project [0:39] that we have going on out there so the [0:41] other half of the campground at schroer [0:43] so sites 30 through 50 which are new [0:45] numbers will open up on June 3rd for [0:48] reservations starting July 8th so dates [0:51] to know again March 4th 8:00 a.m. South [0:54] End of Schroeder 22 sites available uh [0:57] and then all of Bertram and cinwood that [0:59] day and then again June 3rd at 8:00 a.m. [1:02] for reservation starting July 8th at [1:05] schroer Park and the North End for sites [1:07] 30 through 50 be sure you're checking [1:09] schroer for the new numbers and the new [1:11] sites and you'll see that as we go [1:13] through this so we'll move into the [1:16] reservation site [1:18] itself so as you can see here on my [1:20] screen our site looks very different uh [1:23] we're very excited about this it should [1:24] provide a better user experience for you [1:27] and um we hope that you like it as well [1:29] so if you are not seeing this page when [1:31] you get to go reserve a campground or [1:34] campsite or if you're looking for a [1:36] program registration or shelter facility [1:38] anything like that then you are not in [1:41] the right place um the old site reads [1:44] perfect mind appear here in the web [1:46] browser the new one you'll see this web [1:47] track so a couple things to note I am [1:50] working in a demo site so some things [1:52] might look a little different when you [1:54] get into the live site just because we [1:55] are in a demo version so Maps might be a [1:58] little different as far as just updates [2:00] on numbers and sites available things [2:02] like that so it just want you to know [2:04] that so first things first when you get [2:06] here if you have not created an account [2:09] you're going to need to do that that's [2:10] right here so if you've had an account [2:12] in the past with us it's no longer valid [2:15] so unless you created it in January of [2:17] this year so anything from last season [2:19] if you reserved a site with us in [2:21] 2023 that information does not work you [2:25] will need to create a new account so you [2:27] would click here on the signin register [2:30] and it'll bring it to this page for you [2:32] so you can don't have an account sign up [2:35] now and go through that process it's [2:38] pretty [2:39] self-explanatory and then if you do have [2:41] an account you'll type in your username [2:42] and password so this username can be [2:44] your email password uh there are some [2:47] restrictions on that seven [2:49] characters in those seven characters [2:52] you're going to want to have a capital a [2:54] number and a special character special [2:56] characters being a period exclamation [2:58] point something along that line [3:01] so you'll get all that created and then [3:03] you'll be able to log in so with that [3:06] you can see here this is what you would [3:08] see when it's logged in you'll see your [3:09] name here so and your an account number [3:12] you can see your cart all this other [3:14] stuff so you're looking here you've got [3:17] all three of the camgrounds you can [3:18] select your camr that you want I'm going [3:20] to use schroer for this purpose just so [3:22] I can show you some of the things we're [3:23] dealing with out [3:24] there so you'll click on [3:27] schroer and you'll see this map we've up [3:29] updated the maps and again I talked [3:31] about the numbering at Schroeder you can [3:32] tell that the numbers are very different [3:34] than what they were last year site one [3:36] and two on this map used to be site 50 [3:38] and 51 so pay attention to that you're [3:41] going to want to make sure you're [3:42] watching that so and again for March 4th [3:45] it's this area of the campground that [3:47] will open for reservation minus the four [3:50] in the corner that you don't see and [3:51] then there's three same day sites so [3:53] again 22 [3:54] sites so anything that's gray is [3:58] unavailable so when you get to here so [4:02] you can see here there's a begin date [4:04] which is your arrival date when you want [4:05] to come in how many nights and you can [4:08] select up to 14 nights that is still our [4:11] policy these are some other filters that [4:13] you can run my suggestion is not to mess [4:16] with them on March 4th when you're [4:18] trying to reserve just because any [4:20] filter you put in it's only going to [4:22] show you sites that are available that [4:25] meet those criteria so to see the whole [4:28] Campground we're going to go here I'm [4:30] just going to [4:31] do we'll just do Memorial Day weekend [4:33] here coming in on Friday on the 24th I'm [4:36] going to do three nights and then I'm [4:39] going to hit [4:41] search so as it comes up you'll now see [4:45] that some of these sites change color [4:46] from the gray the white sites and these [4:50] blue sites are available again gray is [4:54] unavailable so you can see these are all [4:56] unavailable at this time so what here [5:00] you can kind of hover over the sites [5:02] you'll see it gives you a few features [5:03] and amenities things like that so 15 you [5:06] can tell it says it's same day site [5:09] something with the same day sites you'll [5:10] be able to reserve them online this year [5:12] instead of having to call us but it's at [5:14] 8:00 a.m. of the day that you want to [5:16] come in so if you want to come in on [5:17] Friday at 8:00 a.m. that day you'll be [5:20] able to make that reservation for that [5:21] site you can't get on Thursday to make [5:24] it for Friday it would be 8:00 a.m. of [5:25] the day you're coming in our no call no [5:28] show policy still is in place so if you [5:29] try to manipulate that you know get in [5:32] sayy I'm coming Thursday but then you [5:33] don't show up when you get there on [5:35] Friday you're going to come to a site [5:37] that's no longer years so it's just [5:38] something to be aware of so if that is [5:40] new that is a change blue is available [5:43] as well you can see 14 and 16 so those [5:45] are our Ada sites they are full concrete [5:49] pads at schroer this year that's one of [5:51] our [5:51] upgrades so um we really trust you guys [5:55] just kind of use your honor System on [5:56] this there's really no way we can double [5:59] check and and make sure that it's a Ada [6:01] accessible person that's needing that [6:03] any or any of those filters so our [6:06] policy is that once the cam RS full they [6:08] can be reserved to anybody so we just [6:10] ask that you got to be mindful of that [6:12] so once you know what you want so let's [6:14] say I want site 22 I'm going to double [6:17] click on [6:18] it and it's going to get going here [6:21] you'll see it loads down here it shows [6:23] my selected [6:25] items and then it's got add to cart and [6:27] clear selection and then you can also [6:28] see that 22 change colors so that color [6:31] is just saying hey you have selected it [6:33] kind of that orange color so that's what [6:35] you're looking at um new feature with [6:37] this one is I can click up I can add [6:39] five sites to a receipt so I can go 23 I [6:43] can do 24 I can do [6:46] 25 26 so there's five sites and I can [6:51] add all those to my cart now if I add [6:53] more than that so let's say I throw 27 [6:55] on [6:56] here when I hit add to cart and you have [6:59] hit add the cart when they're sitting [7:01] there they're not in your cart yet so [7:04] even in this site they're not in your [7:05] cart [7:06] yet so notice I have all the all six [7:09] sitting here you got to S hit your check [7:13] boxes and again this is the show you [7:15] that the filter that's going to happen [7:17] when I hit [7:18] continue then I get to the waiver I hit [7:21] agree and you have to do that hit [7:25] continue it's going to [7:28] run [7:30] so I apologize for a little bit of a [7:32] delay here it's kind of running those so [7:33] you can see here now that I've got [7:37] um an error coming up that I haven't [7:40] followed haven't satified the following [7:42] allowances it's telling me that I can [7:43] I've done six but I can only do [7:46] five so if I hit [7:52] cancel so what it did here when you hit [7:55] cancel I'm going to show you this brings [7:57] you to the payment screen and where you [8:00] can go through and finish your payment [8:01] process but I'm going to go back to the [8:03] cart you can see here that it only took [8:06] five sites so what it did is it took the [8:09] last item that I had put on and removed [8:12] it because it was more than five so if [8:14] you do eight sites the last three you [8:15] put on when you hit continue it's going [8:18] to remove those three so at this point [8:21] like I said if you were here I'm just [8:23] showing you this proceed to check out [8:25] this is the screen that we were just on [8:27] preloads a few things you don't have to [8:28] worry about C Pon codes it will always [8:30] default the credit card it'll preload [8:33] some of this information for you um but [8:37] it's not going to do much at that point [8:38] you'll hit this continue button and [8:40] that'll start the whole payment process [8:42] but once you're here once you click that [8:45] waiver I'm going to go back to cart and [8:48] I'm going to remove some of [8:49] these I'm just going to clear the whole [8:51] cart empty cart so once you click on [8:54] that waiver that you saw [8:56] earlier that's when it adds it to your [8:58] cart so so once it's completed and [9:00] you've done that so I'll do this again [9:02] we'll [9:04] search and then I'm going to add site [9:08] 22 I'm just going to do the one site [9:10] this time add [9:11] cart select that I'm going to hit [9:14] continue I'm going to agree to the [9:15] waiver I'm going to [9:17] continue so now I'm here so once I [9:19] clicked on that check box and hit [9:21] continue at the waiver I now have 10 [9:23] minutes to complete my [9:25] transaction so that means it's going to [9:27] hold it off for you blck it out from [9:29] everybody else for 10 minutes so that [9:32] way you're not rushed uh one thing with [9:34] the payment side of things again we've [9:36] had some [9:37] questions this site does not store your [9:39] credit card information so you will have [9:41] to input it every time that's a safety [9:43] reason on our end so something to be [9:45] aware of so and again at this point you [9:48] just hit continue it's not going to let [9:49] me do it because again this is a demo [9:51] site this is where we have some of the [9:52] restrictions uh it won't let me finish [9:55] this process because I am there but for [9:57] you guys you'll hit continue you'll you [9:59] put in your credit card information and [10:00] go from there and you'll be good to go [10:02] so you saw me hit this back to cart [10:04] earlier if you did that you say you got [10:06] one side in for a weekend hey I want to [10:08] go look for another one I can do this [10:10] continue shopping I can go look for [10:12] another [10:13] weekend um I can look at another [10:16] campsite if I want you can go back to [10:17] the home and look for a campsite another [10:20] campground any of those so that all [10:22] works the same but remember you still [10:24] have 10 minutes with that transaction [10:26] that's in your cart already so if it [10:28] took me another [10:30] 2 minutes and say I'm going to go look [10:31] for another date and I want to look in [10:33] June so I'll do June 14th I'll do it for [10:35] two nights [10:39] search I'm going to do the same site [10:41] here we'll just do site 22 loaded add [10:44] the [10:45] cart got to click that hit continue and [10:49] notice it didn't make me do the waiver [10:50] again because I've already signed off on [10:51] it so now at this point both of those [10:53] are in my cart they're both held off my [10:55] 10-minute countown is still working on [10:57] this so say it took me an extra minut [10:59] minute now I have 9 minutes there and I [11:01] have 10 minutes on this one to get this [11:02] done so hopefully that makes sense to [11:04] you guys so that's pretty much the [11:07] nutshell on what we're doing um wanted [11:11] you to be able to see [11:13] that so again I'm going to empty this [11:16] cart real [11:18] quick and I'm going to go [11:21] back to the [11:24] homepage so that way you guys can see [11:27] it so again this is the site you want to [11:30] look for um some neat functionality that [11:33] we have with [11:36] the maps and being able to load them up [11:38] quick running through your filters uh [11:41] this is just like I said it's a lot [11:44] cleaner a lot smoother than what it used [11:45] to be than what we had in the past so as [11:49] you get here you know you just kind of [11:52] going through it again now what was neat [11:54] if you hit this add to cart let's say [11:55] somebody added it to the [11:57] cart before you got to this point it [12:00] will send back at you instead of getting [12:02] the old oops an unexpected error has [12:04] occurred at your payment process you'll [12:07] get a error here and it'll tell you [12:09] exactly hey this site's no longer [12:10] available so you're able to go back in [12:12] at that [12:13] time so that's the quick rundown [12:16] hopefully this will help you guys and [12:18] hopefully you'll find it uh useful so [12:21] again we're excited about it again [12:24] remember March 4th 8:00 a.m. for schroer [12:28] for this end here and you can see the [12:30] sites that are available so sites 1 [12:32] through 4 7 through 14 site number 16 [12:38] and then 21 through 28 so 22 sites at [12:41] Schroeder will open up March 4th for the [12:43] season that starts on May [12:44] 3rd and then this North End will open up [12:47] on June 3rd for reservation starting [12:50] July 8th and then again March 4th at 8 [12:52] A.M all of Bertram and all of Collinwood [12:56] uh Bertram obviously camper cabins are [12:57] 120 days in advance
