Good morning everyone. It is Tuesday, August 5th. We'll call the Ray County Board of Commissioners to order. We'll begin with the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> All right, with this very short agenda, we'll see if we can set a new record for one of the most timeefficient meetings. Uh, with that, our first agenda item, we have the highway department. Chad. >> Thank you, chairman, commissioners. I appreciate the special meeting to make sure we get this awarded as timely as possible. It's been a long road, but open bids yesterday. Um, bids came in good. We were not the low bidder, which is always good. So, Schaefer Contracting is the apparent low bidder. They are doing the 94 work and they're also doing the roundabouts in Monaceel. So, they're um fully embedded to this area for the next summer and a half. So, um I think that's why we got good prices. So, we're recommending awarding it to Schaefer Contracting. And then the next step is we'll be coming on the 19th with the local road imperment program grant. It has to be after bidding. So, we're sending that in today and that'll be at the next meeting and then work can begin.
