Chanhassen announces summer events, seeks resident feedback
During a Thursday broadcast from City Center Park, Chanhassen city officials announced upcoming community celebrations and asked residents to weigh in on city matters through a quick online survey expiring Friday.
The city is gearing up for two major summer events. A Memorial Day ceremony will take place Monday, May 26th at Lake Anne Park's Al Clingal Huts Pavilion, honoring those who died in military service. Looking further ahead, the city is preparing its July 4th celebration with a new parade route this year. Residents can find full details about the Independence Day festivities on the city's July 4th website.
City officials are also asking for community input through a Flash Vote survey, an online feedback tool designed to gather resident opinions on local matters. The survey is available at flashvote.com and residents must register and submit their responses by May 23rd — giving community members just one day to participate.
On the recreational front, the Chanhassen Rec Center will temporarily close its courts starting May 27th for resurfacing work. The project is expected to take approximately two weeks, though the timeline depends on weather conditions. During the closure, residents needing court access can use the alternative facilities at Roundhouse Park.
The broadcast, known as "Chan Check-In," originates from City Center Park and serves as a regular way for the city to share announcements and updates with residents.
