Chanhassen Begins Pothole Repair Season with Contractor Support
The city of Chanhassen will expand its pothole repair efforts starting April 28, bringing in a contractor to supplement ongoing work by city crews, according to the city's weekly community update.
Drew Zarsky, identified as the city's senior pothole correspondent, said the contractor will help cover more ground to complete repairs faster. City crews are already making repairs throughout Chanhassen streets.
The city also announced the completion of its summer concert series lineup, which will begin in June at Lake Anne Park. Hackamore Brewing has agreed to partner with the city for this year's series.
Chanhassen's Memorial Day ceremony is scheduled for May 26 at the Al Klingal Huts Pavilion in Lake Anne Park. John Lovevald, a 25-year Army and National Guard veteran who has spent eight years working to end veteran homelessness in Minnesota, will serve as the speaker.
The city reported that 555 children participated in Saturday's Easter egg hunt at City Center Park, supported by 46 high school volunteers and eight local businesses. The event featured 4,500 eggs and 13,000 pieces of candy. A Garden Tool Swap is scheduled for Saturday at the Chanhassen Recreation Center.
