The city's new civic campus building is on track to open to the public in fall 2025, with significant progress made on both exterior and interior construction over the summer months, according to a July project update.

Construction teams have completed most exterior finishes on one side of the building, including brick and stone washing, with glass installation nearly finished around the structure. Workers are scheduled to install scaffolding July 28 to mount a clock feature, followed by solar panel installation in August. The parking garage entrance has been completed with snow melt systems installed in the trench drains.

Inside the building, crews have begun installing specialty wood grain ceiling tiles and completed stonework in the new council chambers, where city council meetings will be held. The senior center space, designed for residents 55 and older, features a fireplace and is receiving similar ceiling finishes. Mechanical equipment startup has been completed throughout the facility.

Phase two of the civic campus project has begun with fencing installed on the north side of the construction area. This phase will include a pavilion building, stage structure and park improvements, with completion scheduled for summer 2026. The fencing and route closures around city hall are expected to remain in place during this construction phase.

The project represents a major expansion of the city's civic facilities, consolidating city hall, council chambers and community services in the new campus layout.
