"plge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible for liberty and justice for all okay so the first item we're going to be going through a series of interview questions for our commission candidates we have four candidates and then we'll transition to our normal agenda Bri welcome good to see you come on sorry for the weird format but got pick a different time yeah does make it easy maybe it's sorry the setup is so awkward um you want to maybe just sit next to Taylor or somewhere on that side yeah performing for us yeah uh so um thanks uh for your willingness think about serving again tell me a little bit about how the last year went I mean I think one of the conversation things that we had talked about last year was it was great to have somebody who's involved in community band so how did that enter play and just give me thoughts about how it went yeah I think um like um uh so it was good to be involved both um the band and and and on the board um I think he kind of had that good connection between the other band members and the board and um I think there there was a lot of a lot of good things that came about this year um especially at the Christmas concert um for the band you know um working with the the friends of the art center they they had some poinsettias for the band which was great um and then um the art center also helped a lot with uh the um with the um marketing stuff of the of the concert which which helped a lot I think for attendant um they're working on getting you know higher attendance for the concert but yeah so work pretty well good Dan I'm gonna start with you and then we'll just kind of go down yeah um talk to us about working in a team how how do you for first off since you've been on the board how how is the team atmosphere on that board and how do you describe your skills this yeah as far as the team atmosphere I mean they're all pretty you know willing listen to new ideas and and um different um coming from different space uh I think when I when I when I did the I came in and did the interview for the board last time I I mentioned it would be great to do some kind of um things like like date nights and stuff for for painting and um I I'm not saying that whatever I said influence that but but I see you know part of part of their curriculum now in the thing they have some you know date things that they did for um like Valentine's Day so yeah so um what do you see like maybe in the next year coming up uh one or two years what are some of the bigger issues you think the uh the board is gonna be dealing with so um really use utilizing this space that they they have okay um um getting more um classes and more people that come to those classes um I know they they have um had a weight list a big weight list before and now they're um able to provide a lot more classes which is which is great for them um they are looking at you um uh furnace for t…
