[0:01] [Music] [0:31] [Music] [0:58] good evening and welcome to the June [1:00] 16th city council meeting Before we uh [1:04] get into our normal uh routine I just [1:07] wanted to say [1:09] um this weekend our community really [1:12] faced some unspeakable acts of terror [1:14] from a deranged individual And I wanted [1:17] to express my gratitude first to our law [1:19] enforcement who acted very quickly to [1:21] ensure that our community and our [1:23] representatives were safe and then [1:25] assisted in others And as you join me in [1:27] a moment of silence tonight to offer [1:29] prayers to um Senator Hoffman and his [1:31] wife Yevette and their recovery but also [1:34] to the Hortman family um who lost their [1:38] mother and father to this horrific [1:40] incident So if you join me for a moment [1:42] of silence and pledge of allegiance [2:02] To the flag of the United States of [2:05] America and to the republic for it [2:07] stands one nation under God indivisible [2:13] for all [2:18] Okay Roll call please Michelle V [2:22] Pelier here John Burmel Dan Walter [2:25] Joshua Lee here Okay moving on to item [2:29] three Uh citizens comments is an [2:31] opportunity for anybody to address the [2:33] council for a few minutes if you have a [2:37] Okay moving on to item number four [2:41] additional agenda information Mr Miller [2:43] nothing tonight Mayor We'll now move on [2:46] to item five and I'll turn over to Mr [2:48] house on a update and debriefing for [2:52] Paniprog Welcome One of our favorite [2:54] meetings of the year [2:57] Good evening Um Mr Mayor city council [3:00] city staff and the community of [3:02] Lakeville It's always my pleasure to [3:04] come and share a little bit about [3:06] Panorama Progress in our 58th year Um my [3:10] name is Paul Cause and I represent our [3:12] volunteer board but more importantly I [3:14] represent all of our volunteers that put [3:15] on this festival We are just 18 days [3:18] away Yes July 4th we kick it off with [3:21] the city with the fireworks and we go [3:22] strong for 10 straight days through the [3:25] 13th Over uh two full weekends 60 full [3:30] events Um some new ones brought on by [3:33] some new partners Disc golf down at [3:34] Living Waters on their disc golf course [3:37] We've got Touch a Truck down on Holy Oak [3:39] Uh brought together by Lakeville Works a [3:42] new team joining our our support Um and [3:45] we'll put historic trucks down on on [3:47] Holio on Thursday That's part of the [3:49] increased safety as we shut down Holio [3:51] from Thursday at 5 till Sunday at 5 Uh [3:55] we've got some change in venues as well [3:57] Our family funfest formerly known as [3:59] Family Tailgate we're moving from the [4:01] Lakeville Arts parking lot out to [4:04] Caspersonson Gives us a little bit more [4:06] room Uh it takes advantage of a [4:08] beautiful park and uh takes some [4:10] pressure off downtown And speaking of [4:13] taking pressure off downtown we're […
