[0:01] [Music] [0:06] My name is Lieutenant Jason Haidider. I [0:08] am in charge of the patrol division and [0:09] oversee building our fleet here. I'm [0:11] here today to introduce a new Polaris [0:13] Ranger that just entered our fleet. This [0:15] new vehicle, this new UTV was purchased [0:17] through a Gant with the Lakeville Public [0:18] Safety Foundation. The Lakeville Police [0:21] Department and Lakeville Fire Department [0:22] have a great relationship with them. To [0:24] discuss what we'll use this new ATV for [0:26] within the police department, there's a [0:27] number of specialty uses. This is not a [0:30] patrol vehicle. You won't see it driving [0:31] around on the road other than getting [0:33] from point A to B for police purpose. [0:35] This is not a routine patrol vehicle to [0:37] make traffic stops. This is a vehicle [0:39] that specializes in search and rescue. [0:41] This is a vehicle that you'll see out at [0:43] your public safety events. This is a [0:45] vehicle you'll see at community [0:46] engagement events. And this vehicle will [0:48] serve a great purpose during Panaprog [0:49] this upcoming weekend. You'll see it at [0:51] the dog show. You'll see it at police [0:53] canine show. You'll see it at cruise [0:55] night. And you'll see it at the parade. [0:57] This UTV that we purchased, we we added [0:59] some accessories to it to help with the [1:00] mission we're trying to accomplish. Some [1:02] examples in the top, you'll see a 7,000 [1:04] lm light bar along with side flood [1:06] lights that would we would use in any [1:08] search mission that would occur in any [1:10] large park or such as Ritter Farm Park [1:12] when we're looking for someone that may [1:13] be missing. It also has what it needs to [1:15] drive on the roadway. If you'll notice, [1:17] it has uh blinkers, it has brake lights, [1:19] it has everything that you would need to [1:21] be street legal. This UTV also has [1:23] mirrors. We added mirrors to it so we [1:25] can drive it safely and operate it [1:26] safely around people. We can operate it [1:28] safely around crowds. Um to add to that, [1:31] it's fully equipped with a siren and a [1:33] PA speakers. This Polaris vehicle has [1:35] full HVAC. It's fully enclosed with [1:37] windows. It allow us to use it [1:39] wintertime, summertime, whenever we need [1:41] it for whatever use we dee necessary. [1:43] This UTV is capable of transporting six [1:46] people total. Be an excellent tool to [1:48] use if you need to evacuate someone or [1:50] if someone had a medical emergency. The [1:52] back trunk has room to and Trey has room [1:54] to carry water, medical supplies, [1:56] whatever else we may need at any scene [1:58] at any given time. At the Lakeville [1:59] Police Department, we are extremely [2:01] gracious for this purchase that was [2:02] granted to us by the Lakeville Public [2:04] Safety Foundation. We appreciate the [2:06] partnership we have with them and we are [2:07] thank…
