The Lakeville City Council approved a 48-lot residential subdivision called Reserve at Cedar Creek during its June 2 meeting, with developer Brandle Anderson Homes planning to begin construction this summer.

The subdivision will be located north of County Road 50 and south of 200th Street, directly west of the existing Villas at Cedar Creek development. John Anderson, representing the developer, told the council construction could begin as early as this summer, with streets and utilities completed this year and home construction starting by winter.

The council also received positive reports on city facilities and programming. Arena Director presented the annual arena report, highlighting continued financial success without requiring city subsidies since the facility opened in 2006. The arena partnership between the city and school district generated $1.6 million in ice rental revenue, doubling since 2021.

Parks and Recreation Director reported strong growth in programming across all divisions. The department's learn-to-skate program registered 1,085 participants, while Heritage Center membership reached a record 1,600 members. Grand Prairie Park's playground, splash pad and pickleball courts are scheduled to open in July or early August.

The council also approved routine business items including liquor license renewals and accepted a $4,800 donation of electric vehicle fire suppression blankets from the Lakeville Public Safety Foundation.
