[0:01] Sally, Dave if he shows up, otherwise we'll jump to Alan and we'll save the final section for Dave if and when he gets here. So good evening what we're gonna need you to do introduce yourself, make sure we know who you are for the record and off you go. My name is Dan Laris. I'm 60 year plus residents. This is your friend of mine and he's part in Hall of Faye with me. [0:21] And we're here to discuss. [0:23] History in Bloomington that seems to be fading bloomington's ice cards or any ice gardens history is a big part. The city's history is there, ok? And in that ice card, there was a hundred and 48 pictures of people who were in the Bloomington Hall of Faith. I had to take them down because I understand there was a elevator going. [0:43] There have you. I want to keep them there and move them over to a different spot. [0:47] But I'm not getting much help from Park and Rick. We met with him, it was a battle to get a meeting with him, we got it, and we need much less space. We can go down to this size here versus this size, but I can do it with 20 ft. [1:04] I would like to get 25 ft or so on the south wall and wrink one. We were on the west, the north wall, but it's gonna be gone. I just want to be there where everybody sees it. People come in there, I get calls, get comments. [1:19] Been going on from people who built this city like John Beyonkey at already Johnson, their photos are up there. They're now in my garage. I feel like they should go back up there. And I don't understand the problems with the parking wreck, not wanting them up there, but they told me they have a mural going on that wall. I asked what. [1:39] What the mural was, got NO response, so I'm assuming with some kind of DEI mural or something but I don't know that, but I would like him right up there and it's just a very important part of Bloomington, the history, and there was either Bloomington briefing, there was gonna say, have meetings with the stakeholders. [1:57] Never got a call. I have, I had 50 ft of wall there. I have zero. Never got a call, never anything was going on. So Paul, you want to say a few things? Yeah, the big thing is the history, you know, it goes back to Jean Kelly and some of those people, 1st parking Rick. [2:13] You know, a guy in Bloomington and not the dancer. What ******* record, not the dancer job. Okay. So I mean, you know, a lot of these people have made Bloomington sports, you know, BAA and athletic directors of Jefferson and, you know, and poaches and so it's a lot of history going. [2:33] Going here and hey, I don't want to lose it. That's the main thing. And there's NO pops all the way to get in there you have to be 50 years old. [2:40] To give ten years of your volunteer time to Bloomington, so it isn't like it's a popular, you have to done something to get, ok? And if you look in the 1st piece of paper that I gave you, we didn't start this. This was started by parking Wreck way back, and it's been going for 40 years, and I kind o…

Been going on from people who built this city like John Beyonkey at already Johnson, their photos are up there. They're now in my garage. I feel like they should go back up there.

Dan Laris [1:19]Bloomington Hall of Fame Relocation and Reinstallation

I can get these scan down to this size here. I need to do it the month of February. They have a half price sale I can get them done for two bucks a piece, Otherwise they go up to four bucks a piece, so I need an answer from you guys here.

Dan Laris [3:11]Bloomington Hall of Fame Relocation and Reinstallation

I agree with you a hundred percent about the importance of the history of the city, the importance of not forgetting, just remembering the folks who helped build this city and and celebrating the folks who built the city.

Council Chair [3:29]Bloomington Hall of Fame Relocation and Reinstallation

Honestly right now the the answer that I can give you is right now we don't know because there's NO finalized decisions.

Council Chair [4:38]Bloomington Hall of Fame Relocation and Reinstallation

I am once again requesting an internal affairs investigation. There should be an internal affairs investigation in the police complaints request for prosecution and the eight CAD reports should be corrected or removed from the record.

Sally [6:47]Internal Affairs Investigation and Correction of Police Records

There was not an investigation and there should be. I sued the city because this council passed an unconstitutional city code and was applying for an unconstitutional state statute that was determined to be mute because the legislation that changed its Constitutionality.

Sally [12:48]Internal Affairs Investigation and Correction of Police Records

We've talked about this before and we're not gonna be doing an internal investigation and police records are fixed public records. They are, they re reflect the police officer's observation and recollection at the time. We have NO way, we have NO process of going into correct or fix or or do with, with police records. That's not going to happen either.

Council Chair [13:40]Internal Affairs Investigation and Correction of Police Records

One of those is the, you know, the continued assertion in there that we have an association with moms for liberty. So I'm sure there's a lot of things that we agree with moms for liberty on on a number of issues, but we are not any affiliate or chapter of monster or liberty.

Alan Ready [15:23]Bloomington Parents Alliance Concerns and Omar Bonderood Award Video

The facts of the matter are that we challenge books on the basis of sexually explicit content regardless of orientation or gender identity and the gender and orientation topics that we challenge in elementary middle school books were based on whether or not they're age appropriate according to evidence based scientific and child development standards.

Alan Ready [16:39]Bloomington Parents Alliance Concerns and Omar Bonderood Award Video

1st of all, I agree a hundred percent harassment of that kind is absolutely unacceptable. And please, if it happens, that that's what 911 is for.

Council Chair [19:46]Bloomington Parents Alliance Concerns and Omar Bonderood Award Video

There's really, it becomes very complicated when we start talking about editing public record. And I mean it becomes very, I I don't know of an official avenue to do that because it is official, it's the official record of the city of Bloomington and to go in and to edit it in some way, shape or form, frankly, I don't think it's legal.

Council Chair [20:23]Bloomington Parents Alliance Concerns and Omar Bonderood Award Video

The comments that were made were made by a private citizen. So they were they were the opinions expressed by the individuals in that group. There wasn't any endorsement by the city.

Council Member Dallassandro [23:30]Bloomington Parents Alliance Concerns and Omar Bonderood Award Video

1st and foremost, this is being put out on, you know, a city website, you know, city social media channels. So you're responsible for that content, so there's some sort of implicit endorsement if you put something out there.

Alan Ready [25:09]Bloomington Parents Alliance Concerns and Omar Bonderood Award Video

What we're doing is we're just doing the the groundwork to trying to figure out what the city council would approve or disapprove your kind of your grounds of what you would if a church would be ok to begin there.

Tracy Greenfield [26:56]Bethels Rock Church Zoning Inquiry

I think your 1st call, Tracy needs to go to Nick Johnson in our planning staff.
