In June, the 25 [0:28] semi-finalists made their pitches to a [0:30] panel of judges who narrowed it down to [0:32] the top 10. The top 10 contestants [0:34] include Bastu Bloomington, Bloomington [0:37] Farm and Feed, Bookmother, Hearts and [0:39] Spades, Hotbox Pies, Nuna, The Chocolate [0:42] Bar, Twin Cities Streetear, The Plug [0:44] Mobile, and Veterans Post Provisions. [0:46] Elevator pitches on all of their [0:48] business ideas can be viewed on the [0:49] city's YouTube channel under the Hatch [0:51] 2025 playlist. Just visit the link on [0:54] your screen. Hatch Bloomington offers [0:57] entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch [0:59] their business ideas for a chance of [1:00] receiving $100,000 in financial [1:03] assistance to kickstart their [1:04] brick-andmortar business in Bloomington. [1:07] The top 10 will be pitching their ideas [1:09] at Bloomington Civic Plaza on August [1:11] 6th. Community members will be able to [1:13] vote for the business they want to see [1:15] in Bloomington. For all the details, [1:17] visit hatch bloomington.com. [1:19] The city of Bloomington is recognized [1:21] for its sustainability efforts. The city [1:23] recently received an award for being a [1:25] steps four and five city in the [1:28] Minnesota Greenstep program. The award [1:30] shows community members that Bloomington [1:32] is taking great steps in the direction [1:34] of energy and resource conservation and [1:36] innovation. Bloomington has implemented [1:39] best practice actions to meet its [1:40] sustainability goals with support from [1:42] the GreenStep program and peers. Actions [1:45] include cost savings, energy use [1:47] reduction, resource conservation, [1:49] climate change, and the encouragement of [1:51] civic innovation. Help make Bloomington [1:54] streets safer, and encourage others to [1:56] drive safe and slow down.
