[0:20] bring you the Buzz for the week of
[0:21] September 25th through October 1st it's
[0:25] an election year and here's what you
[0:26] need to know early and absentee voting
[0:29] is underway Bloomington residents can go
[0:32] to Civic Plaza to cast their ballots
[0:34] from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday
[0:37] through Friday through November 4th
[0:39] extended hours are also available on
[0:42] Saturday October 26th Tuesday October
[0:45] 29th Saturday November 2nd Sunday
[0:48] November 3rd and Monday November 4th
[0:51] voters can also vote in person on
[0:53] Election Day Tuesday November 5th
[0:56] pulling sites are open for voting from
[0:58] 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on election day
[1:00] early mail and absentee ballots are
[1:02] issued by henpen County at hen. us/
[1:06] elction mailed ballots can be returned
[1:08] to hennipen County through the mail or
[1:10] returned in person at Civic Plaza they
[1:13] must be received by 8:00 p.m. on
[1:15] Election Day get familiar with what's on
[1:18] the ballot by visiting mnvotes.org the
[1:21] city of Bloomington has a new Housing
[1:23] and Redevelopment Authority
[1:25] administrator Sarah Abe started her role
[1:27] with the city on September 16th Sarah is
[1:30] a housing and economic development
[1:32] professional with a deep commitment to
[1:33] building Equitable vibrant communities
[1:36] with dual master's degrees in public
[1:38] policy and social work from the
[1:39] University of Minnesota Sarah has worked
[1:41] for more than a decade in various local
[1:44] government and nonprofit settings most
[1:46] recently she served as a senior project
[1:48] manager for the city of Brooklyn Park
[1:50] where she successfully oversaw
[1:52] large-scale development contracts
[1:54] Housing and Redevelopment projects and
[1:56] various housing policy initiatives
[1:58] Bloomington water gets called out as the
[2:01] best in the state once again recently
[2:03] the Minnesota section of the American
[2:05] Waterworks Association held its annual
[2:07] conference in duth water experts taste
[2:10] tested 17 different tap Waters from
[2:12] across the state and named Bloomington
[2:14] as the very best this is the third time
[2:17] overall Bloomington has received this
[2:19] honor next up is an international
[2:22] competition in Denver in June of 2025
[2:25] congratulations to Public Works staff
[2:27] who keep the city's water tasting so
[2:29] wonderful
[2:30] with public input and city council
[2:32] approval Bloomington has updated speed
[2:34] limits local and neighborhood speed
[2:36] limits are now 25 milph posted speed
[2:40] limits on larger roadways were also
[2:42] updated and Vary from 25 to 35 mph for
