[0:11] all right good evening everybody how are we doing all right yeah I got to keep the [0:18] energy going it's going to be a long one uh well on behalf of the rest of the [0:24] Planning Commission welcome to tonight's City V din Planning Commission meeting [0:29] it is March 12th 2025 times [0:34] flying um say it every time but you know your curiosity your participation and [0:41] certainly your feedback is vital to this process as we navigate change together here in Edina specifically regarding the [0:49] ways in which we'd like to use our land so we have a number of things on the DACA tonight and kind of go through a [0:55] quick rundown so you know what to expect but one of the key pieces is is [1:00] engagement so anything that you tuning in or those who are here in person that [1:07] have written via email to the city or through the city's engagement website [1:12] which is ww. better together.org it has made its way to us and we commit to you [1:19] that we uh consider that as we make recommendations tonight uh so a little bit about the [1:26] Planning Commission we're nine residents volunteers appointed by the city council [1:33] serving three-year terms and right now is one of those terms kind of roll over [1:39] so we have someone new that's joining the Planning Commission meeting tonight and hopefully for the next three plus [1:45] years uh Paul if you'd like to introduce yourself maybe give people a rundown of [1:51] like who you are why you're joining and so we can better welcome you sure well welcome uh thank you thank you for [1:57] welcoming me uh Paul Nelson I am uh I've been a resident of Edina for 45 years I [2:04] previously served on the uh Transportation Commission from 26 2010 to [2:09] 2016 uh actively involved in a number of other community organizations including the D morning side Rotary [2:16] Club uh since 1993 Minnesota Council of churches uh been involved since 2005 and [2:22] I'm currently also involved in the Salvation Army Advisory Board of the Northern Division which includes all of [2:28] Minnesota and and the uh North Dakota the state of North Dakota since [2:34] 2019 I'm currently uh work with Donar construction I've been in the commercial [2:40] uh construction industry for the last 34 years and I'm just excited to be part of the commission so thank you we're [2:46] excited to have you and if you got to know everyone else on the commission the city is well represented by some quite [2:52] talented people with some extraordinary backgrounds and with Paul joining uh we [2:58] have a commissioner rolling off who's is not here anymore uh and that's commissioner Miranda and just just want [3:04] to say a couple parting words for him commissioner moranda equal to Paul was [3:09] very very engaged and uh involved with the city served on the commission for [3:15] seven years was the vice chair of the Transportation Commission before that was on the climate action plan as a team [3:22] member a variety of hennip…
