[0:02] Huffland, your Adina Mayor, and this is

[0:04] a mayor's minute for Wednesday, July

[0:06] 23rd, 2025.

[0:09] The Atlanta Garden Council and its

[0:11] Ketoale Garden Club donated money to the

[0:14] city to construct what's called a

[0:16] labyrinth at Arnison Acres Park, giving

[0:18] the community another place to sit and

[0:20] relax, meditate, calm your nerves. The

[0:24] beautiful 30-foot concrete circle with a

[0:26] labyrinth design stained in the concrete

[0:29] was placed at the south end of the

[0:30] formal garden of the park on West 70th

[0:33] Street just a few weeks ago. The

[0:35] labyrinth completes the Arnerson Acres

[0:37] Park design with the gazebo at one end,

[0:39] fountain in the center, and the

[0:42] tranquility garden and labyrinth at the

[0:43] far end to the south. A semicircle of 10

[0:47] crab apple trees representing the number

[0:49] of clubs in the garden council at the

[0:50] time they were planted forms the

[0:52] backdrop for the labyrinth. The

[0:55] labyrinth has a medieval design to it.

[0:57] It has a charcoal color outline and a

[0:59] path in pale yellow to match the

[1:01] fountain. The Atlanta Garden Council

[1:04] will dedicate the labyrinth, the ADA

[1:06] trails attached to it, and the

[1:08] tranquility garden itself 5 to 7:00 p.m.

[1:11] tomorrow. And I think the program starts

[1:12] about right at 5:00. So, make sure

[1:14] you're there for the program. That's

[1:16] Thursday, July 24th, 2025, 5 to 7:00

[1:19] p.m. Mary Brindle, our former colleague

[1:22] on the city council, and her husband

[1:23] Ralph will signify the opening and

[1:25] ribbon cutting by giving an alpine horn

[1:28] concert on the new labyrinth. So, make

[1:30] sure you bring your own lawn chair so

[1:32] you can enjoy every aspect of this great

[1:34] dedication. The garden council will

[1:36] provide refreshments. Whether allowing,

[1:38] the refreshments will be in the gazebo.

[1:40] Otherwise, the refreshments will be in

[1:42] the terrace room of the Arnison House,

[1:44] which of course is in Arnison Acres

[1:46] Park. The labyrinth is a great addition

[1:48] to the park and to our community, and

[1:51] I'll be proud to attend tomorrow's

[1:52] dedication, and I hope to see you there,
