[0:00] Welcome now to what is the 5th annual Black  Business Week right here at George Floyd   [0:06] Square. 10 events all around the city. And so  you will have so many opportunities to patron   [0:12] these incredible businesses, and for these  businesses to connect with the services that   [0:17] we are able to provide at the City of  Minneapolis. We, as a local government,   [0:22] can do more to more directly invest in our black  communities. It is so incredibly amazing to see   [0:29] the energy that is at this intersection right  now. This event is more than a gathering. It's   [0:37] a declaration. A love letter to the past,  present, and future of 38th in Chicago. A   [0:44] big part of supporting black businesses is hearing  them out, doing right by the needs of community,   [0:49] and not turning a blind eye when we're hearing  loud and clear from them.
