Metro Transit BRT Study Update – K Line

Metro Transit Planning Manager Kyle O’Donnell Burrows presented on the K Line BRT study, recommending the Nicollet Ave corridor in Richfield from American Blvd to Downtown Minneapolis as part of the new K Line. Commissioners discussed coordination with other roadway projects, route alignment and connectivity with other bus routes, current ridership trends, plans to increase ridership, and physical ride quality on busses.

City Council Response to Towing Policy Recommendation

City Council provided an update on a prior recommendation; no new action taken by Transportation Commission at this meeting.

Council Member Sean Hayford Oleary summarized the City Council's response to the Transportation Commission’s previous recommendation about towing cars. The City determined it would not completely halt towing due to concerns regarding abandoned vehicles on the street. Instead, an alternative solution was proposed.
