The meeting was called to order by Chair Johanson at 7:01 p.m. on May 19, 2026, in the Heredia Room.

MOTION: made by CSC Member Johanson, seconded by CSC Member McCarthy, to approve the CSC
agenda as presented.
Voting Aye: CSC Members McCarthy, Meyer, Johanson, Luttenegger, Vrieze Daniels, Doten, and
Weinberger.
Motion carried: 7-0

## Approval of Minutes
MOTION: made by CSC Member Johanson, seconded by CSC Member Doten, to approve the minutes of the
(3a) joint meeting of the Sustainability Commission and Community Services Commission from April 21, 2026,
and (3b) Regular CSC Meeting from April 21, 2026.
Voting Aye: CSC Members McCarthy, Meyer, Johanson, Luttenegger, Vrieze Daniels, Doten, and
Weinberger.

Following a tour of the Richfield Pool facility, the meeting was called to order by Chair Johanson at 7:40 p.m.
on June 16, 2026, at the Richfield Pool.

## Richfield Outdoor Pool (Weiby)
Facilities Manager Weiby conducted a tour of the Richfield Pool and Splash Pad facilities just prior to the
meeting.
b.
## Recreation Services (Huemiller)
Recreation Services Director Huemiller reported on the following:
• Wood Lake building project on track for completion in November.
• Pool renovation project is complete; pool opened June 12.
• Master Park Plan public engagement campaign underway.
• Summer programs are underway with strong participation.
• A Green Corps member is being brought in to help with sustainability work.
• Natural Resources Plan will be considered by Council on July 14 and will enter a public comment
period.
• Arena lobby updates have been scaled back for budget reasons. Work will begin later this
summer.
