[0:00] All right, Sheridan Hills. It's week two [0:03] and I'm so excited. New questions came [0:06] in. A lot of good questions. I can't [0:09] wait to read them. [0:11] >> One, [0:14] >> what your favorite thing to do during [0:16] this s during the summer? Well, Mona, my [0:20] very very favorite thing to do is to get [0:23] my dog Duke out for a nice long walk [0:26] around the lakes. Um, and maybe do a [0:30] little bit of hiking. He gets tired [0:32] easy, so I have to make sure that I [0:34] build in some breaks, but that is [0:36] absolutely my favorite thing to do in [0:38] the summer. [0:42] >> What's your favorite flower? [0:45] Well, by far my favorite flower is a [0:48] sunflower. I think I mentioned that last [0:50] week. Uh, I planted about 20 sunflowers [0:54] in my garden and the bunnies keep eating [0:57] them. So, if anybody has some tips about [0:59] how to keep the bunnies away from your [1:01] garden, please tell me. [1:07] >> What do you like to do for fun? And what [1:10] is your favorite hobby? [1:13] Well, there are a lot of things I like [1:15] to do for fun. And I think the most [1:17] important thing to do is to be around [1:20] people who make you laugh. And for me, [1:22] it's my family. We're always laughing. [1:25] And something we like to do together is [1:27] have family game night. We like to play [1:29] board games and there's always a lot of [1:32] laughter and fun competition. [1:35] And at the end of the day, we want to [1:37] win, but what's most important is that [1:39] we spend time together. [1:43] My favorite hobby is definitely [1:46] gardening. That's something that I'm [1:47] really uh love to do. I like starting [1:50] something from starting plants from seed [1:53] and watching them grow and caring for [1:56] the soil and pulling out weeds. And it's [2:00] just a really satisfying thing to do to [2:02] know that you put your love and care [2:04] into something and it grows because you [2:06] invested time in it. [2:12] >> What's your favorite ice cream? [2:15] Well, back in California, there's this [2:17] ice cream called an It's It. And [2:20] basically, it's two chocolate chip [2:22] cookies, and in the middle is vanilla [2:26] ice cream, and then they dip it in [2:29] chocolate. It is so good. It sits. [2:34] >> Five. [2:36] >> What's your favorite subject? Well, that [2:39] is an easy one. Also, I love reading. I [2:43] love reading um books like I mentioned [2:46] before about memoirs, people's lives um [2:50] and I like talking to people about the [2:52] books that I've read. [2:55] >> Six. [2:57] >> Oh, this question is really actually a [2:59] really really important question. [3:02] What should I do if I feel nervous or [3:04] shy at school or need help? [3:09] I think everybody has had the experience [3:12] of feeling nervous and shy at least once [3:15] in in their lives. So, you're not alone. [3:17] We've all felt that way and it's normal [3:19] and natural. Um, one advice I got from a [3:23] good friend [3:25] is to try and do something kind for [3:27] someone. For example, if you see [3:30] somebody sitting alone, [3:32] sit next to them. If you're in class and [3:35] somebody is having trouble opening their [3:37] crayon box, give them a hand. Sometimes [3:40] being helpful is a good way to open up [3:42] doors and make new friends. [3:45] >> Seven. [3:47] >> Will there be a back to school night? [3:49] Where can I meet my teacher and see my [3:51] classroom? Well, even better than back [3:54] to school night, here at Bridgefield, we [3:56] have something called connect and [3:58] assess. And it's an opportunity for you [4:01] and the folks at home to come to [4:03] Sheridan Hills to meet your teacher and [4:06] to see your classroom and to spend a [4:08] little bit of time chatting and getting [4:09] to know each other. And that starts um [4:13] on Thursday, August 28th, and it goes [4:16] through September [4:18] uh 2nd. You'll be getting an invitation [4:21] to sign up for those meetings really [4:22] soon. And I can't wait for that to start [4:25] because I will be here uh to greet you. [4:28] And I hope that you find time to come by [4:30] and say hi to me. Thank you. And I can't [4:32] wait to see what questions you guys ask [4:35] for me next week.
