[0:00] e [0:37] no we got nothing [1:26] welcome to the March 24th 2025 meeting of the WIA Planning Commission I hereby call the meeting to order my [1:32] name is Blake Cameron and I am the chair of the Planning Commission I have just a few words on how to participate in this evening's [1:38] agenda members of the public May attend this Planning Commission meeting in person or watch and listen remotely by [1:43] viewing the meeting on Channel 8 WCTV and at the city's website at [1:48] www.a.org WCTV public comment during the public [1:54] forum Andor public hearing portions of the meeting may be provided in in person at the meeting in advance or by logging [2:00] on to the team's call and raising your hand during the public hearing when your name is called in the meeting you may [2:05] you will be seen and heard in our council chambers and on the cable channel you'll be asked to unmute and [2:11] then you may may begin your comment all public comments must include your full name and [2:16] address the city encourages comments and questions about items on the agenda and when possible request that you submit [2:23] them in advance by emailing public comment weta.org calling City staff at 952 404 [2:30] 5323 or mailing Wisa City Hall at 600 R Street East wetta Minnesota 55391 [2:37] attention public comment I'm going to take a real quick [2:42] deviation here before we get to roll call I'm going to recognize Mr Jeff D who is the city manager for the city of [2:49] wetta thank you chair Cameron excuse me and good evening Commissioners real [2:54] quick know there's a a lot of people here but I just wanted to take mention two things one is thanks to the Planning [3:01] Commission your service your dedication commitment to serving your community uh [3:07] a lot of times it's a thankless job but it requires a lot of thought time effort and you don't get a paycheck you're [3:12] doing it because you want to do good for the community so just real quick thank you uh other thing I want to it's kind [3:18] of Bittersweet uh we're going to be saying goodbye to our city planner Val corals later this week we're going to be [3:24] thanking her and recognizing her and celebrating her next Endeavor uh we're going to do that later this week but [3:30] tonight I wanted to officially introduce you to Alex sharp Alex sharp is our new community development director we have [3:37] searched high and low for Alex uh we took our time uh but we got our person [3:44] so we're really happy to introduce Alex to the Planning Commission the community uh and we'll be intro introducing him to [3:51] the council tomorrow uh Alex comes to us from um excuse me a tenure in Shaka where he [4:00] worked on a lot of Economic Development related projects as well as planning and then most recently in Apple Valley where [4:06] he spent several years there in a fast growth and redeveloping City uh in their [4:12] Community Development Department as well and I asked Alex uh to keep it keep a…
