Uh, welcome to the uh Tuesday, May 6, 2025 city council meeting. I hereby call the meeting to order. Go Timberwolves. Members of the public may attend the city council meeting in person or may watch and listen remotely by viewing the meeting on channel 8 WCTV and the city's website at www.wisetta.orgwv. Public comment during the public forum andor public forum or public hearing portions of the meeting may be provided in person at the meeting in advance or by logging onto the team's call and raising your hand during the public hearing. When your name is called in the meeting, you will be seen and heard in our council chambers and on the cable channel. You will be asked to unmute and then you may begin your comment. All public comics must include your full name and address with camera on. And with that, the second item on the agenda is the pledge of allegiance. If I could ask everyone to stand if you are able and follow along. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. The next item on the agenda is a roll call. Let the record reflect that all council members are present. Earlier this evening, the council participated in a workshop and discussed the following additional short-term rental ordinance amendments and review of next steps. Uh a presentation from uh staff and consultants on a public safety facility needs assessment report and an update on council to council on our strategic planning process. The next item on the agenda is to approve the agenda. May I have a motion to approve the agenda as is or does anyone want to make any changes? So move, Mr. Mayor. Do you have a second? Second. And just to a reminder for those that are here in public attendance tonight and are interested in speaking, please say state your name, address, and indicate if you're representing a group and limit your comment to three minutes when you approach the podium here. The first one is the presentation of the 2025 Heritage Preservation Award to um Alden Adams, owner of 255 257 Central Avenue South. Um I'm just going to make a few comments and I'll turn it over to staff. Um the Heritage Preservation Board uh award is designed to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts in preserving the city's historical and architectural heritage.
