Evidence of Performance 1:
The superintendent will lead the process to design and execute a legally
compliant and comprehensive school district information plan to educate
Robbinsdale Area Schools stakeholders, including staff, students, families, and
community members, about the 2026 Building Better Together Bond.
This initiative will fulfill the responsibilities and obligations of the school
district to provide awareness and transparent public information regarding all
facets
of the bond request including the current reality of the school district,
data demonstrating how we got here, evidence of what has been done in
recent
years, and the details of the bond request including learning spaces,
student opportunities, finances,
facilities and the impacts should the bond be
approved or not approved. Evidence of the role and expectation of the
superintendent to represent the school district and educate the community
about the bond request will include documentation of presenting at least 30
informational meetings across the seven cities and school sites served by
District 281 and the number of community members at each meeting, along
with questions, comments and follow-up
to each meeting demonstrating the
impact of the meeting and presentations. Not only will further evidence of
impact be the visibility of the superintendent in the community, evidence of
broad communication strategies implemented will be provided to the board
including a list of all communication, media interviews, community events
and meetings with community members regarding the referendum.
Evidence of Performance 2:
The superintendent will lead the process to implement and monitor the
district's Statutory Operating Debt (SOD) plan, allocating administrative time
to monitoring fiscal metrics and delivering data-driven recommendation
adjustments to the school board to permanently improve the district's
financial position. A balanced budget will be created through data-informed
administrative recommendations and board direction on needed reductions.
Additional evidence of goal attainment will include a board approved
## Statutory Operating Debt Plan submitted to the Minnesota Department of
Education by January 21, 2027. Per the SOD plan submitted in 2026,
the year
end UNRESERVED fund balance will go from $9.60M deficit to $7.47M
deficit for FY27. If projections hold true we would reduce another $2.03M for
FY 2028 to have our UNRESERVED fund balance become $6.73M. Which
improves the projected negative deficit by $742K between 2026-27 and
2027-28.
