Heat. Heat. [Music] Evening. It is Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 6 p.m. We are at the District Service Center in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the land of the Midawakadan Dakota people. Middlewakington means dwellers of the spirit lake. Our first item on the agenda is 1.0 call to call to order. Dana, can I get the roll call? >> Louise Hines here. >> Ryan Clark >> here. >> Sharon Vanlair is absent. Item 2.0 pledge of >> allegiance to the flag of America. to the republic for it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Next up is 3.0, approval of the agenda. Can I get a motion to approve the agenda? >> Second. >> Motion by um Melinda, seconded by Ryan. Uh all in favor? >> Any opposed? Motion carries. Next up is 4.0 0 workshop items. And up first is 4.1, our elementary bond update, presented by Tyrone Brookens, assistant superintendent. >> Thank you. Good evening. Uh this evening we will uh do a construction update uh for phase two, which includes our elementary schools. And so we're going to uh give you an update on Greycloud, Bailey, and Pinehill. In the audience this evening, we have our newly assigned administrator, Jennifer Schwarz, who is the new principal of Greycloud Elementary School. She joins us from uh being a veteran leader in Centennial uh schools and also ISD 622. And so she has taken the reigns of uh Great Cloud Elementary School. So Jan, I'm just going to have you wave to the board. This is your formal introduction to the board. Also present tonight, we have Laura Lushik, who is the principal of Pineh Hill Elementary School and formerly principal of Greatcloud Elementary School. And we also have Christine McDonald, who is the pre uh principal, I was going to say president, principal of Bailey Elementary School. Yeah, you can give the president wave if you want to. uh they have had a busy week welcoming students back uh to their sites, but they are here uh this evening to listen in and answer any questions that may come up. So, thank you all for being here and as soon as we're done you with this presentation, you can enjoy your evening. Okay. All right. So, uh for this part, uh we're going to begin to shift to question two. And question two uh that was passed in 2023 began to focus on uh meeting our elementary needs uh adding additions to Bailey Elementary School, Greycloud and Pine Hill to meet capacity concerns and then uh in the future we will bring an update for Red Rock and then we will get to the uh bathrooms at the remaining four elementary schools. the phasing uh plan shortly after we uh passed the bun in uh November of 2023, which seems like a long time ago, we hit the ground running and we have not looked back. Uh we have began construction at our uh secondary schools and now we're uh leaning into the phasing uh uh point for the elementary schoo…
