First up is our pledge of allegiance. I aliance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Okay. So, we're going to um start off by approving the agenda. Could I get a motion and a second? So moved. All right. Moved by Yenner, seconded by Livingston. Um, any discussion. Okay. Um, all in favor say I. I. And all oppose say nay. All right. The agenda is approved. Um, so exciting nights tonight. First off, we have our achievement awards. Um, first off is our winter activities and athletics recognition. So, um I believe we have representatives from both North and Tartan and also Andy. Yeah, I'll let you do it. Sorry. Sure. Yes. Chair Yang, members of the board, Superintendent Tuchioso. Uh pleased to be here tonight and introducing uh Jed Hellwig and Jake Kelchure from North High School and Tartan High School if they want to come forward. Uh athletic director and activities director and activities coordinator. They're going to introduce a number of students tonight uh that have had outstanding seasons in both activities and athletics. So, take it away. Hello, welcome. My name is Jed Helig. I serve as the activities director at North High School and tonight we have star students at both North and Tartan High School. I'm going to start out with Do we have that slide presentation like Oh, next slide. Let's see here. There she is. We have Sydney Johnson right here. And Sydney uh is a North High junior. She showcased her incredible talents and determination at the Minnesota State High School League gymnastics meet on Saturday, February 22nd held at the iconic Roy Wilkins Auditorium. She competed in the floor exercise and balance beam. Sydney represents North with excellence and poise. She delivered an outstanding performance in front of thousands of people, earning a sixth place finish on the floor and proudly bringing home a state medal. Her grace, athleticism, uh, and competitive spirit were on full display, and she truly made our Polar Nation proud. Can't wait to see what Sydney will accomplish in her senior season. Just a congratulations to Sydney. This is a big accomplishment to make it to the state tournament in two events in gymnastics. [Applause] Congratulations. Next, we have Gabby Martinez. She's at a softball game. We had to postpone last night's softball games to move to tonight. So, she planned on being here, but um so we're proud to announce Gabby Martinez. She's a standout senior at North High. She's currently a softball player and a shortstop. Uh she's our two uh 2025 Athena Award recipient. Gabby is a remarkable three sport student athlete excelling in volleyball, basketball, and softball throughout her high school career. Gabby's uh dedication, athleticism, and leadership have made lasting impact on Polar Nation.
