[0:05] [Music] Welcome back to the Monday Morning Minute
for October 21. Let's get 60 seconds on the clock
[0:09] and get started. First, bring the kids dressed
in their best costumes for a Trunk or Treat event
[0:15] at the Oakdale Hy-Vee parking lot, this Thursday,
October 24 from 4 to 7 PM. Oakdale Police,
[0:20] Fire and Public Works will join in on the fun
with vehicles to explore. The leaves have been
[0:25] falling quickly, which means it's time for
a review of your yard waste options. While
[0:29] leaves can not be dropped off at the Public Works
campus, the Washington County Yard Waste Site in
[0:33] Hugo is available for free to residents, in
addition to four locations in Ramsey County
[0:37] with a photo ID. Check out the link provided for
more details. A reminder that the City of Oakdale
[0:42] has two questions on the general election ballot
to extend the current half-percent local sales
[0:47] tax for five additional years, from 2048 to 2053.
The extension is requested to cover the funding
[0:52] gaps caused by inflation for two projects - the
expansion and remodel of our Police facility and
[0:57] the construction of a new Public Works facility.
Check out the link provided for more information.
[1:02] Finally, some exciting news, construction on
the new Public Works facility has begun. This
[1:07] much-needed facility will include 75,000 square
feet of thoughtfully planned out space to help
[1:12] our city in continuing to provide top-notch
services. To sign up for project updates,
[1:16] check out the link provided. That's it. I'm out
of time. Have a great week, Oakdale. [Music]
