Oakdale gears up for summer with farmers market, festival
The Oakdale City Council highlighted upcoming community events and reminded residents of adjusted summer hours during its Monday meeting. The farmers market opens this week while Summerfest is planned for later in June.
The Oakdale Farmers Market will kick off its season this Wednesday, June 4th, from 2 PM to 6 PM in the City Hall parking lot. Vendors will sell fresh produce, flowers, and baked goods, with new seasonal items expected throughout the summer months.
Looking ahead, the city is preparing for Summerfest, scheduled to take place in three weeks at Walton Park. The event will feature expanded children's activities and performances by local bands. Residents interested in the full schedule are encouraged to visit the event website.
The council also reminded the public that City Hall and the Public Works Department will operate on adjusted summer hours. Residents should check the city website before visiting to confirm current schedules.
The council extended congratulations to graduating seniors from Tartan and North High Schools, wishing the Class of 2025 success in their future endeavors.
