Friday activities start at 11 a.m. with children's programming by the Oakdale Recreation Department, including pony rides and inflatable attractions, concluding with an evening performance by Free and Easy.
Saturday's full-day celebration begins with the Nature Preserve 5K race, with on-site registration available. Children's activities resume at 11 a.m., featuring balloon artistry, the Little Blues Traveling Zoo, a Fire Department splash pad, the Teddy Bear Band concert, and a Lions Club coloring contest. Minnesota Twins mascot TC Bear will make an appearance during afternoon festivities.
The celebration concludes Saturday evening with a concert by GB Leighton at the Walton Bandshell, followed by a fireworks display. The complete event schedule is available at oakdalesummerfest.com.
