[0:07] Thrillbillies, a fun-loving country music band, [0:09] will kick off the fun at the 4th of July Hometown [0:12] Celebration at M Health Fairview Sports Center. [0:15] The music begins at 5:30 p.m., [0:17] and starting at 6 p.m., [0:19] there will be bounce houses, food trucks, [0:21] and you can visit with the Mayor and members of City Council. [0:24] Due to construction on the outdoor fields, [0:26] the activities will move from the gold [0:28] fields to the green fields this year, [0:30] which is just north and west of the previous location. [0:33] Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. [0:35] Arrive early and bring your own seating and blankets. [0:41] When celebrating the 4th of July this summer, remember [0:44] that it's illegal in Minnesota to sell, possess, [0:47] or use any fireworks that fly or explode. [0:50] Some examples of illegal fireworks include [0:53] firecrackers, bottle rockets, and Roman candles. [0:59] Certain non-explosive and [1:01] non-aerial consumer fireworks are permitted. [1:03] Examples include sparklers, cones and tubes that emit sparks [1:07] and novelty items like snakes and party poppers. [1:12] Election judges are needed for primary election early [1:15] voting beginning June 28th and on election day [1:18] for the primary and general elections. [1:21] Election judges are the officials [1:23] who staff polling locations and ensure the rights of voters [1:26] are protected. [1:27] Applications are available on the Washington County website. [1:31] The City held a Water Treatment Plant and Pipelines [1:34] Project open house on May 22nd. [1:37] The community open house provided an opportunity [1:39] for residents to learn more and ask questions [1:42] about the construction of a new water [1:44] treatment plant to permanently treat PFAs contamination, [1:48] and the installation of 17 new miles of water [1:51] main pipe.
