[0:21] I was looking for a job [0:22] that could challenge me mentally, physically [0:25] and that had a camaraderie and teamwork feel to it. [0:28] It's an environment where you're going to come in [0:31] and you're going to get mentored. [0:32] People are going to help [0:33] you grow professionally and personally as well. [0:37] I chose to work for the city of Woodbury [0:38] because I started here as a cadet, and in the past year [0:41] and a half, I've completed EMT, the full paramedic program. [0:45] This is a fortunate department to work with. [0:47] There's a lot of opportunity [0:48] for career advancements, [0:50] and there's a lot of support around the education. [0:53] And so I really do think that the city is very supportive [0:56] of pushing you to be your best firefighter paramedic. [0:58] Feels like a family, honestly. [1:00] All of our captains are a part of every training we do. [1:03] We have daily relationships with command staff and the chief. [1:06] Culture that we've established, [1:08] the standards that we uphold ourselves to. [1:10] So that way, the city [1:12] and the citizens are getting the best possible care [1:15] and fire protection that we can possibly provide. [1:19] A lot of people think of us helping others, [1:21] but I think the daily things we do to help [1:23] the community is so rewarding to us. [1:25] The city of Woodbury is where I live. It's home to me. [1:28] I take pride and passion in the community. [1:31] It's a job that gives a lot back.
