Central Park Reopens November 2 After Major Renovation
Woodbury's Central Park will celebrate its grand reopening Nov. 2 following months of extensive renovations that transformed the indoor community facility.
The celebration will run from noon to 4 p.m. and feature self-guided tours, performances by Open Door Community Theater and folk singer Matt Hannah in the newly enclosed amphitheater, and free access to the renovated Lookout Ridge Indoor Playground for children.
Prior to the grand opening, the park will begin a soft opening in October with phased access to facilities. The Lookout Ridge Indoor Playground, east and west entrances, and main level restrooms will open first, with seating and gathering areas opening later in the month. The Public Works Department will complete repaving work on Promenade Lane and Central Park Place, the two main access roads, by Oct. 31.
Major improvements include an enclosed amphitheater, expanded public gathering spaces, improved parking and pedestrian access, and new spaces for rotating art displays. The facility now features a multi-purpose space that can accommodate large events or be divided for smaller programs, expanded senior programming space, and enhanced accessibility and energy efficiency measures. Additional amenities include a dedicated lactation room, single-use restrooms, maintained greenery, a reimagined water feature, and improved lighting.

Join us on Sunday, November 2nd from noon to 4 p.m. for a fun-filled day at our indoor community gathering place.
