Woodbury Central Park Playground Renovation Set for Fall Opening
The City of Woodbury's Central Park will debut an upgraded indoor playground this fall as part of the ongoing Central Park renovation project, city officials announced.
The updated Lookout Ridge playground will feature more than 75 unique play elements, replacing equipment that has been in use for more than 20 years. Two new birthday party rooms will open alongside the playground by November 30, according to the city's timeline.
The Woodbury City Council will review the proposed 2026 city budget during a workshop meeting scheduled for September 10 at the Public Safety Building. The public meeting will begin at 4 p.m. and continue into the evening until all department budgets have been evaluated.
Woodbury Days will take place August 22-24 at Ojibway Park, featuring carnival rides, games, food vendors, a business fair, live music, bingo and fireworks. The City of Woodbury will operate a booth at the business fair where residents can meet city officials, including new City Administrator Jeff Dahl and public safety personnel.
The city is currently accepting applications for volunteer positions on advisory commissions, with new appointees beginning their terms in January. Additionally, residents can now schedule curbside pickup for mattress and box spring recycling through Second Chance Recycling, with detailed instructions provided via email after scheduling.
