The City of Woodbury outlined several upcoming community events and important notices during its March community update, including the annual State of the City address and the opening celebration for The Gold Line transit service.

Mayor Bert and city department heads will present the annual State of the City event on April 3 at Eagle Valley Golf Course. The free gathering will feature updates on key city projects and initiatives, followed by a question-and-answer session with residents.

The Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Community Expo on April 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Woodbury High School. The free, family-friendly event will include a city booth where residents can explore city vehicles and learn about Destination Woodbury initiatives.

Washington County expects to mail property value notices during the last week of March, with open book meetings scheduled for April for property owners seeking to appeal their market value or classification. Officials encourage residents with questions to contact their area appraiser as a first step.

The city will celebrate The Gold Line's opening on March 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new Woodbury Park and Ride facility near Wood Lane Drive and Guer Drive. The celebration will feature music, entertainment, games, informational booths and food trucks.
